Houston had one of the most gorgeous weekends I can remember in a while, and I spent pretty much all my time outside, which hasn't happened in forever.
That is a Lambo Performante edition that was outside the sushi restaurant we ate at Friday night. I thought I had a better picture, but I guess not. Saturday I swapped brake pads on the Mustang, changed its fuel filter (could feel the difference in acceleration since it is a 20-30k mile service interval and I have never changed it on my 55k mile car), and washed it. Then got this beast ready to cook:
15 lb brisket! Here it is rubbed down:
On the smoker at 1 in the morning:
Finished up around 2 the next afternoon:
And here is the flat, which is about half of the entire brisket, after 6 people tore into it:
Needless to say, I'm going to have a lot of leftovers. Also, I jumped in my pool to test the water, but it was too cold :(. Another week or two of this weather though, and I'll be spending my days in the pool rather than laying next to it!
